In 2004, RGE undertook a project to construct a dedicated injection moulding facility for a major customer. The factory is designed as an on-site supplier in Europe's largest tumble drier facility at Yate, near Bristol. RGE took completed control of the project management, specification, equipment, installation and commissioning; completing the project in less than 6 months.
The RGE Yate factory consists, of 16 injection moulding machines from 485tonne to 1000tonne lock coupled with vibration welding machines and a fully-automated 6-axis assembly cell for a large base component. All injection moulding and vibration welding machines are linked to the RGE group monitoring system to analyse in real time efficiency and cycle information and provide a full Material Resource and Capacity Planning information. |
