RGE has over 40 years experience in plastic injection moulding and toolmaking, a brief overview of our plastic injection moulding, tooling and design services is below:

    DESIGN

  • RGE has been designing and manufacturing injection mould tools since 1963
  • We have an extensive engineering and design department
  • We specialise in design of metal replacement projects in high performance nylons
  • We are the design house for some major bluechip companies
  • Early supplier engagement specialists for innovation projects

    TOOLING

  • RGE has been a toolmaker since 1963
  • Tool making facilities in China (in-house tool trials) and Portugal
  • We produce over 200 new tools per annum (80% in China)
  • Tool design done by UK Headquarters based in Godmanchester
  • Tools steels specified to European standards and certified
  • Tool fixings and ancillaries are European specifications
  • RGE warrantees tools 500,000 shots maintenance free for our own production
  • Our tooling offer includes final texture/polish and transport from toolmakers to our UK Headquarters where they are commissioned for customer approval.

    PRODUCTION

  • We have production facilities in UK x3, China, Lithuania and USA
  • 143 Injection mould machines in group
  • A press range of 15T to 1750T in group
  • New gas injection manufacturing cell
  • 2 Shot moulding manufacturing cell
  • Pad printing specialists (laser etching technology pending)
  • Ultrasonic and vibration welding equipment
  • Large portfolio of polymers from major suppliers with global buying prices, with some grades we are the largest consumer in Europe.
  • RGE produces circa 7 million mouldings per calendar month
  • We are toolmakers and moulders for some major companies such as IKEA, Bosch Power Tool, Indesit Company, Schneider Electric and Siemens Magnet Technology
