The ethos behind the plant is to provide a “hole-in-the-wall” just-in-time flexible supply directly to 6 assembly lines with the main assembly hall of the tumble dryer factory. RGE's expertise in production planning, quick-change tools and continuous high volume plastic supply enables the Yate facility to produce components for in excess of 1 million parts per year.

The RGE project management team managed all aspects of the new plant implementation which was conducted alongside a turnkey design project and full tooling design, development and manufacture in the UK, Portugal and China RGE tool rooms.

Running a fully Lean Manufacturing philosophy Yate demonstrates the latest plastic technologies and processing techniques developed by RGE. The factory has the ability to produce parts for a range of over 30 different appliances and in volumes over 20,000 per week.
