RGE Baltic expands large-scale injection moulding capacity with new 1,400-ton machine

Major investment in manufacturing capability

RGE Group is pleased to share the arrival of our latest and largest Injection moulding machine at RGE Baltic – a brand new 1,400- ton Haitian machine, marking a significant investment in the factory’s manufacturing capacity and future growth.

The new press expands our machinery fleet at RGE Baltic to 58 injection moulding machines, increasing our overall tonnage range at the site and enabling us to meet growing customer demands for larger, more complex moulded components.

Investing in this high-performance machine gives us greater capacity to manufacture large plastic parts and accommodate multi-cavity tooling. This supports improved lead times whilst maintaining the high-quality standards that our customers require. With a machine of this size, we can produce large and technically demanding plastic components including; automotive parts, industrial housings, pallets, containers and furniture components.
 

Supporting sustainable and efficient manufacturing

Designed with energy efficiency in mind, this new machine significantly reduces energy consumption, supporting our ongoing commitment to sustainable and responsible manufacturing.

The installation of this new equipment also included a new automated conveyor system, which will enable a higher degree of automation within our production process. As a result, this investment will improve cycle times, enhance process consistency and further optimise manufacturing efficiency.

A major logistical achievement

The logistics behind this project were substantial. The equipment was delivered in seven shipping containers, making both delivery coordination and on-site assembly a complex task. Thanks to the expertise, careful planning and dedication of our team, the installation was completed successfully and the machine is now fully operational.
