The Temple Chair has a synchronised mechanism, allowing the seat of the chair to move automatically as the back reclines, keeping the seating position consistent to provide the best support. The ratio is set at the standard 2:1, meaning that for every 2 degrees the back reclines, the seat tilts 1 degree. The mechanism has a free float option, alongside four locking positions.
The lumbar for the back can also be adjusted up and down, and the seat slide allows for a personalised seat depth for each user. The gear and rack adjustment mechanism, unique to the Temple, provides the user with infinite adjustments, rather than the standard seven positions.
Optional arms are able to move up and down, and can also have 2D or 4D PU pads which move forwards and backwards as well as side to side.
Test standard EN:1335 has also been achieved in parts one and two. The chair can support up to 150kg or 25 stone.
