There are many processes that are available to compliment plastic injection moulded parts, from labelling to assembly, and at RGE, we are proud to provide these alongside our own injection moulding services.

Labelling

A variety of labelling and branding techniques are available at RGE, including the automatic application of self-adhesive labels, which is available on many injection moulded parts. This could be used for a number of requirements such as barcode labelling or extra identification through quality or assembly stages.

Printing

Detailed markings, usage instructions and stunning graphics can be applied to cooled components using computer-controlled pad printing (tampography), which offers a premium finish to any product. Alternatively, simple decorations such as company logos and product markings can be applied through the application of hot-foil blocking, usually during the cooling cycle of the plastic injection moulding process.

Assembly

RGE have the ability to perform linear vibration welding or ultrasonic welding and our experience stretches across many welding applications. We produce complex base components using linear vibration welding, joining a lower and an upper part with a watertight welding joint to create a stable and accurate complex component. These components then go on to be used in products that require durable and reliable parts, such as tumble dryers.

PU Moulding for Furniture

RGE Group has in-house PolyUrethane production capability for making soft touch arm pads. With in-house design and toolmaking RGE can make bespoke designs of arm pads competitively and quickly with high quality parts manufactured in the EU.

Fabric Mesh Inserting for Furniture

RGE has in-house mesh assembly for backs and seats. RGE has been making Nylon injection moulded back frames and seat frames for a number of years. In addition our RGE Baltic facility has recently added assembly lines capable of assembling the fabric mesh into the backs and seats of office chairs.

Upholstery for Furniture

A number of large clients have asked RGE Group to upholster their seats and backs for their furniture products. With a network of highly skilled upholstery specialisits in Eastern Europe RGE Group can mould, assemble and upholster your furniture to a high quality. A turnkey service saves our clients cost and space to ease their supply chain requirements.

Quality Control

Whether it be the parts we produce or the service we provide – quality matters. Our team will work with you to understand the quality requirements of your mould tool and end product. Here at RGE, this is achieved using a combination of systems and processes. Use of a leading ERP system allows us to manage customer accounts, sales, purchases, receipt of goods, stock management, and deliveries. RGE pioneered use of the award-winning ThingTrax machine monitoring system - used to monitor the efficiency of our factories.

Our QC team carry out pre-production tests on the raw material using Melt Flow Index (MFI) equipment to ensure it meets the requirements for the job. Tests carried out on mouldings throughout the production run include checks on the colour using a Spectrophotometer or Lightbox, as well as ensuring the parts measure within the agreed tolerances using a Co-Ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
