All About Quality
From the parts we produce to the service we provide – quality matters. Our team will work with you to understand the quality assurance standards of your mould tool and end product.
We use the latest software during the early stages of each project to ensure the plastic components are designed in such a way that when tooled they produce a consistent part. Our Quality Control team carry out pre-production tests on the raw material using Melt Flow Index (MFI) equipment, keeping components to the often tight tolerances required.
We ensure that certificates of conformity and in some cases in house testing of materials are carried out before production where needed.
Tests carried out on mouldings throughout the production run include checks on the colour using a Spectrophotometer or Lightbox, as well as ensuring the parts measure within the agreed tolerances using a Co-Ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). Our machines are also regularly checked to ensure that tool faces and vents are cleaned, and moving parts are lubricated.
RGE utilises the Intouch machine monitoring system – used to monitor and enhance efficiency across our factories. Use of a leading ERP system allows us to manage customer accounts, sales, purchases, receipt of goods, stock management, and deliveries.
