RGE is able to offer a variety of additional services to complete the assembly and finish of any product in house, and can cover the full spectrum of any injection moulding requirement.
Ultrasonic, or Linear Vibration Welding
Post moulding assembly and joining techniques, such as ultrasonic welding and linear vibration welding, play a crucial role in creating complex, multi-part products.
Ultrasonic welding uses high-frequency vibrations to generate localised heat at the joint between two thermoplastic components, fusing them together quickly and cleanly without adhesives or fasteners. This use of welding is ideal for small, precise parts that require strong, waterproof hermetic seals, commonly used within the electronics industry.
Linear vibration welding is better suited for larger or irregularly shaped components. It works by rubbing two parts together under pressure at high speed to generate frictional heat, which melts the surface and bonds them together. This method offers strong structural integrity and is widely used for appliances and industrial applications, creating a watertight welded joint to make a stable and accurate complex plastic component.
Both techniques are highly efficient, reliable, and repeatable, making them excellent solutions for high volume plastic assembly.
Electronic Assembly
Our factory in Lithuania specialises in completing moulded parts by assembling electronic components and elements. This may be by hand, or with the use of automated assembly lines and cells to efficiently assemble electronic components within the moulded plastic parts to create a finished product under one roof, ready to be sent straight to the customer without the need for additional stages in the production process and unnecessary shipping to outsourced services.
Full Assembly Service
RGE Group are capable of assembling products at our factories in Whittlesey, UK and Šiauliai, Lithuania - from full products requiring construction such as chairs and bins, to intricate parts and small components, alongside our electrical offerings. We can provide packaging solutions, with small parts assembled and boxed, ready to then go straight onto the shelf. With storage options at our distribution centre in Alconbury located on the A1, RGE store products to be distributed from the centre of the UK. This allows RGE to keep every step of the process under one roof – from design, tooling, and production, to additional printing, assembly, and storage.
