Sustainable Packaging
Using reground polypropylene, RGE are able to supply our material handling products made from 100% recycled plastic. Available in black, our recycled products maintain good strength and longevity. At the end of their lives, our recycled material handling products are able to be recycled again, a circular and completely sustainable process.
Why Use Returnable Transit Packaging?
Returnable Transit Packaging (RTP) solves several problems that single-use packaging creates – cost, waste and inefficiency. Designed to be robust and long lasting, RTP can be used and re-used over a long period, and eventually recycled. This provides benefits such as a lower environmental impact, reduced waste disposal costs, and compliance with sustainability goals and regulations, ultimately offering an improved carbon footprint over the lifecycle of each product. RTP also supports increased product protection and more efficient logistics with better space utilisation.
Our Buy Back Scheme
RGE offers a buy back service, designed to provide a solution for the waste of old plastic products, such as plastic crates and other bulk plastic stock. We buy your old and used plastic stock, to be granulated at our Regrind Centre, allowing us to mould products from more sustainable alternatives to virgin plastics, and in turn, prevent plastics from unnecessarily ending up in landfill.
RGE provide this service in an effort to encourage our customers to make use of our growing recycling facility, with the aim of providing a new lease of life to plastics that would otherwise have been needlessly discarded. Whilst RGE is committed to reducing our own environmental impact, we believe it is crucial that we provide our customers with the opportunity to do the same, pushing for change within the plastics industry and extending the benefits of our continued investment in the Regrind Centre.
Offering this service to our RTP customers, allows us to produce these products in a closed loop, using old crates to generate plastic material to be used to make new crates.
