RGE Reduces Carbon Footprint

RGE Logistics have just taken delivery of its first trailer in the Group’s new livery. “The trailer not only looks fantastic in the new colour scheme, but thanks to being a supercube trailer it is the largest within the Group. It will allow RGE to deliver an additional 50% product per outbound load compared to most trailers operated on the UK’s roads” says Neil Simons, Group Logistics Manager.

Neil went on to state that today’s transport industry services a very demanding and astute customer base. The additional cubic space the new trailer delivers not only benefits our customers with larger less frequent deliveries but also the environment, as it will help to greatly reduce RGE Group’s carbon footprint on the environment. We are very conscious of our impact on the environment and it's very important to us that we improve our energy efficiency and consumption as much as possible.

The trailer is the first of four scheduled for 2015, with an additional eight trailers ordered for 2016.
